2.4. Scope and technical data

The measurement covers a typical range of PROFIBUS DP components. The selection follows the most current and most frequently used products as at "end-2007".

The measured values apply if PROFIBUS DP has been configured correctly. Due to system-internal error control, an incorrect or incomplete configuration causes significantly deviating times. The listed times apply to the I/O accesses via the process image and where possible via process alarm and direct commands. Interruptions caused by "reading and writing" to the DP line, e.g. by parameterizing an FM module, are not considered.

All measured values were acquired under specific boundary conditions or configurations.

The table below includes all settings that are essential to the measurement.
Default values are used for all settings that are not listed.
