2.4. Scope of validity and technical data

The measurement covers a typical range of PROFINET IO and PROFIBUS DP components. The selection follows the most current and most frequently used products as at "spring 2005".

The measured values apply if both networks are configured correctly. Incorrect or incomplete configuring causes strongly deviating response times due to a system-internal error control. The listed times apply to the I/O accesses via the process image. Interruptions by interrupt processing are not considered.
